At Keyser Retail Solutions, we didn't invent the menu board. But since the 1960s, we've been a recognized leader in the menu board signage industry, spearheading many of the advances and innovations now standard in QSRs around the world.
Keyser Retail Solutions started in Evergreen Park, Illinois in 1965 as Florida Plastics International, the Midwest sales office of a company selling injection-molded plastic products. Founder Donald Keyser saw an opportunity to "build a better mousetrap" for a small chain of fast food restaurants. Don created a prototype of a new menu board and went to see the head of purchasing. Don was offered the McDonald's account on the spot, the deal sealed with a handshake. In time the Florida Plastics became the exclusive supplier of indoor and outdoor menu boards for more than 14,000 U.S. McDonald's restaurants, along with many more McDonald's locations worldwide. The relationship that began with a handshake has held firm through more than four decades. Keyser Retail Solutions and a Passing of the TorchDonald Keyser's son, Bill, assumed presidency of Florida Plastics in the mid-1990s and established Keyser Retail Solutions to harness the company's decades of menu board expertise for QSRs throughout the U.S. Today, Keyser Retail Solutions continues to build on its peerless legacy of quality, innovation and customer service to deliver advanced, powerful visual communications solutions that captivate customers and drive sales. |
